Lola Nunn has been an avid photographer since 1978. She specializes in chess players and portraits.

In 2004, she began publishing MidKnight Kibitzer, a desktop published magazine that focuses on chess in the Greater Los Angeles area.

"Chess Life" magazine, the official publication of the United States Chess Federation, has published several examples of her work.
