About GM Melikset Khachiyan – FIDE-Endorsed Chess Academy

Founded by Grandmaster Melikset Khachiyan, the academy provides high-quality chess training backed by decades of elite coaching experience. A Grandmaster since 2005 and a FIDE Senior Trainer, Melik has trained top international players and has served as coach and captain of the U.S. Women’s National Team since 2010. 

As a FIDE-endorsed chess academy, GM Melik designs our programs to meet international training standards while providing structured, high-level instruction for ambitious players of all ages.

Online Coaching, Classes & Camps

GM Melik offers a comprehensive range of online training programs, accessible to students worldwide. These include:

• Weekly online classes and group lessons focused on key areas such as strategy, calculation, positional play, and endgames

• Intensive training camps and masterclasses, featuring multi-day sessions with deep instruction, practice tournaments, and personalized feedback

Students benefit from structured lessons, recorded sessions, and practical training designed to accelerate improvement and competitive performance.

Private Coaching

In addition to group programs, Melik provides personalized one-on-one coaching, tailored to each student’s goals, level, and tournament ambitions. His teaching approach emphasizes strategic understanding, disciplined thinking, and long-term development.

In-Person Academy – Now Opening

We are excited to announce the launch of our in-person chess academy, bringing GM-level training into a hands-on, classroom environment.

The academy will offer:

• Structured group classes by level

• Official US Chess- & FIDE-rated chess tournaments

• Special events, such as simuls, guest lectures, and blindfold events.
